PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Michael John Berkbuegler, 18, of Perryville died Thursday, May 5, 2005, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident in Perry County.

He was born July 8, 1986, in Chester, Ill., son of Ronald and Marilyn K. Baudendistel Berkbuegler.

Berkbuegler was a 2004 graduate of Perryville High School. He was employed by Schemel-Tarrillion Construction Co., and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include his parents; and two sisters, Janel Young and Shelly Berkbuegler, all of Perryville.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and Monday from 6:30 a.m. until time of service.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. William Thess officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

A funeral will be held Wednesday, October 20th, 2004 for 80-year-old Harold J. Mattingly of Perryville who died Monday, October 18th at the Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born June 17th, 1924 in Perry County, the son of George P. and Stella E. (Gibbar) Mattingly, who both preceded him in death.

He married Alma Berkbuegler on April 17th, 1948 in Perryville. She survives in Perryville.

Survivors also include: five daughters and sons in law, Dolores and Paul Meyer of Perryville, Rhonda and William Lally of Kirkwood, Janet and Glennon Huber of St. Mary, Regina and Mark Berkbigler of Ste. Genevieve and Doris and Edward Kiefer of Perryville; a brother, Elmer Mattingly of Festus; four sisters, Gertrude Terbrak, Agnes Bohnert, Lillian Zahner and Jean Hunt, all of Perryville; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Three sisters, Velma Poer, Mildred Moll and Anna Ruessler, also preceded him in death.

He was a farmer and was presdient of the school board at the Mattingly School in the early 1960s. He was a member of the Christ the Savior Parish in Brewer and the Holy Name Society.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. this (Tuesday, October 19th) evening and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 20th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers with the Holy Name Society at 7 this evening.

A funeral for 80-year-old Harold J. Mattingly of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 20th at the Christ, the Savior, Catholic Church in Brewer. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Revs. Felipe Martinez and Alphonse Hournig will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Christ, the Savior Cemetery Association in Brewer.
