Mayfield, Dean Leslie

Dean Leslie Mayfield, 71, of Sedgewickville, Mo., died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, at the Monticello House in Jackson.

He was born June 4, 1935, in Sedgewickville, Mo., the son of Earl and Viola Statler Mayfield.

Mayfield worked for 30 years as a welder for General Motors and attended the Little Whitewater Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother, Viola Mayfield of Sedgewickville; loving companion, Lois Lincoln of Marble Hill, Mo.; seven sons, Kenneth Mayfield of Desoto, Mo., Timothy Mayfield of Edwardsville, Ill., Daniel Mayfield of Warrenton, Mo., Jeff, Scott, Jamie and Jason Mayfield, all of Patton, Mo.; one sister, Wanda Bynum of Sedgewickville; 21 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Jerry Mayfield.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Don Slatton officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery near Sedgewickville.
