May, Pauline Doris (nee Fronabarger)

Pauline May, the daughter of the late Henry and Emma Mudge Fronabarger, was born in McGee, Missouri on August 14, 1913, and passed away at her home in Lake Placid, Florida on March 22, 2009, at the age of 95 years, 7 months and 8 days.

Mrs. May lived in Texas and New Mexico before moving to Puxico, Missouri in 1981. She had owned May's Station and Cafe, hauled live stock, drove a school bus for the Zalma Schools as well as other business ventures. She was a member of the Bright Prospect Church in McGee, Missouri. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and traveling.

On November 5, 1928, she was married to Sim May in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on January 13, 1990.

Surviving are one daughter, Lucille Craig of Morro Bay, California; two sons, Loy May of Elsah, Illinois, Troy May of Puxico, Missouri; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; four great great grandchilden; two sisters, Norma Stephens of Advance, Missouri, Lela Hodge of St. Charles, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Verta C. May, and three brothers, Clifford Fronabarger, Stanley Fronabarger and Ralph Fronabarger.

Friends may call on Thursday, March 26, 2009, fromf 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2009, at 11:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. Bill Bray of Puxico, Missouri officiating.

Interment will follow in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
