St. Marys Woman Dies April 11 at Age of 102 Years
Mrs. Alice McBride widow of William McBride died at 5:30 o'clcok Monday
evening April 11 at St Marys at the age of 102 years.
Mrs. McBride who became 102 years old on March 2 had 11 children and survied
all of the.. She was a former resident of Perry County and was born in
Chester, Ill.
The body will be in state at Basler Funeral Home of St. Marys, where the
service will be conducted. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

St. Marys Woman, Age 102 Died There Monday Evening
Mrs. Alice McBride, former resident of Perryville, died Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Love at St. Marys, with who she made her home
for a number of years. Mrs. McBride was 102 years old on March 2.
Funeral services were held at the Basler funeral Parlor in St. Marys at 9:30
Thursday morning. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Mrs. McBride was born on March 2, 1853 in Chester, Illinois and was a
daughter of Sam and Louisa (nee Askins) Anderson. She was married to
William S. McBride on September 26, 1870. He died many years ago. She gave
birth to 11 children -- 8 sons and three daughters, all of whom have passed
away.
Mrs. McBride was a sister-in-law of Joseph G. Reddick of Perryville. Other
Perry County relatives are a number of nephews and nieces. They are: Mrs.
August Miget, Anthony Moranville, Mrs. Lona Miget and Mrs. Virgie Moranville
all of Perryville and Leo Moranville of near Perryville.
Mr. and Mrs. McBride resided in Perryville many years ago where Mr. McBride
operated a livery stable. He later operated a livery stable at St. Marys.
