McCormick, Ronald Mack
GLENALLEN, Mo. -- Ronald Mack McCormick, 78, of Glenallen passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 5, 1933, at Chaffee, Mo., son of Ben and Virgie Lee McCormick. He and Shirley Jo Johnson were united in marriage March 3, 1962.
Mr. McCormick retired from the Western Electric Co., worked as a bail bondsmen, a cattle farmer and special deputy for Bollinger County.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force, was a member of the Masons and a member of the Lutesville Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include wife Jo of Glenallen; son Ronnie McCormick of Scott City; brothers Harold McCormick of Marble Hill, Mo., Gerald McCormick of Houston, Mo., and Cecil McCormick of McKinney, Texas; sisters Donna McCormick of West Plains, Mo., and Patty Greer of Prescott, Ariz.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, son Randy McCormick and sister Rita Menard.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. A Masonic service will be at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Bass officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Morley, Mo., with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Marble Hill Relay for Life or charity of choice.
