McCrea, Carla Renee (nee Reynolds)

WHITEWATER, Mo. -- Carla Renee McCrea, 45, of Maryland Heights, Mo., passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, at her home. Friends may call between 4 and 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 20, at the funeral home, followed by internment in Proffer Cemetery in Crump. The Rev. Tom Zych will officiate.

Carla was born Oct. 11, 1957, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Gary and Mildred Proffer Reynolds. She and J.R. McCrea Jr. were married July 30, 1998.

Carla was the valedictorian of the 1976 graduating class of Delta High School. She attended Southeast Missouri State University while working as a staff reporter at the Southeast Missourian, and in 1979, she graduated with a bachelors of science degree in communications. In 1992, she graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with an accounting degree. She presently was the owner of "Time No More," an innovative sales operation, headquartered in Cleveland, Ga.

She was a member of the Grace Church of St. Louis and held Bible studies in her home.

Loving survivors include her husband, J.R. McCrea of Maryland Heights; a daughter, Crystal Leigh Williams of Columbia, Mo.; her parents, Gary and Mildred Reynolds of Whitewater; a brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Pam Reynolds of Pevely, Mo.; and two nephews, Kyle and Garret Reynolds.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Grace Church or Proffer Cemetery.
