McGraw, Ramona (nee Seabaugh)

JACKSON, Mo. -- Ramona McGraw, 59, of Fort Madison, Iowa, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at her home.

She was born March 17, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Buford and Imogene Seabaugh. She and Loy McGraw were married July 3, 1963, in Kansas City, Mo. He died March 17, 2001.

McGraw was a graduate of Meadow Heights High School at Patton, Mo., and 1963 graduate of Carthage College in Carthage, Ill. She was a teacher with the Fort Madison School District 33 1/2 years, retiring in 1998.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Retired Teachers Association.

Survivors include a daughter, Tami Courtney of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a son, Thomas McGraw of Fort Madison; her parents of Jackson; a brother, John Seabaugh of St. Louis; and two granddaughters.

Friends may call at King-Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison after 2 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gordon Lundberg officiating.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Sargents Chapel Cemetery near Sedgewickville, Mo.

Ramona McGraw, 69, 2480 245th Ave, Fort Madison, (Iowa) died at 7:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at her home.

She was born March 17, 1942, at Cape Girardeau, Mo., the daughter of Buford and Imogene Seabaugh. She lmarried Loy McGraw, July 3, 1963, at Kansas City, MO. He preceded her in death March 17, 2001.

She was a retired teacher with the Fort Madison School District, retiring in 1998 with 33 1/2 years of service.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fort Madison and the Retired Teacher Association.

She graduated from the Patton, Mo., High School and then attended Carthage College, Carthage, Ill., graduating in 1963.

She enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening, music, playing cards, and her friends and family.

She is survived by her parents, Buford and Imogene Seabaugh, Jackson, Mo.; one daughter Tami (Curtis) Courtney, Cedar Rapids, one son, Thomas R. McGraw, Fort Madison; two granddaughters, Krystal L. Greene and Jozie A. McGraw; two cousins whom she was raised with, JoAnn (Joe) Wilfong, Patton, Mo., and Margie (Wayne) Besher, Marble Hill, Mo.; one brother, John Seabaugh, (Gene Coch), St. Louis; three brothers-in-law, Frank (Shirley) McGraw, Hamilton, Ill., and Larry (Carol) McGraw and Kenneth (Diane) McGraw, all of Perryville, Mo.; four sisters-in-law, ILmogene (David) Bucher, Clubb, Mo., Dixie (Donald) Weith, Perryville, Mo., June (Robert) Kiefer, St. Ann, Mo. and Sue (Keith) Trafton, Wapello; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held at 7 pm Saturday, Feb. 23 at the King-Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison, with the Rev. Gordon Lundberg officiating.

Graveside services and burial were held at 2 pm Sunday, Feb. 24 at Sargents Chapel Cemetery near Sedgewickville, Mo.

A memorial has been established for Sargents Chapel Cemetery Association or St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and contributions may be left at King-Lynk Funeral Home.
