McIntyre, Dorothy I. (nee James)
Dorothy I. McIntyre, 86, of Jackson, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at her home.
She was born March 2, 1927, in Scopus, MO, daughter of Eng and Sully Angel James. She and Roy McIntyre were married in 1942. He passed away October 19, 1997.
Dorothy was of the Pentecostal faith. She worked at the former Deal Nursing Home in Jackson, and former Voorhes Greenhouse in Fruitland.
Loving survivors include; a daughter, Joyce Kleimann of Jackson; four sons, Roy Lee McIntyre of Jackson, Larry McIntyre of Shawneetown, Bobby McIntyre of Jackson, and Rick McIntyre of Daisy, MO; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and three brothers.
Friends may call Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 4-8 PM at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral service will be Thursday, at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, with Pastor Greg King officiating.
Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Southeast Hospice.
