McKinney, Ella S. obit Mrs. Ella McKinney, Here 33 Years, Dies

Mrs. Ella S. McKinney, 79, a 33-year resident of Fort Collins, died Tuesday morning at the Larimer County Hospital.  Before her last illness she had lived in a nursing home at 1011 Remington Street for four years.

Mrs. McKinney was the widow of William McKinney, who died here June 10, 1952.  He was a painter and decorator and was secretary of the Painter's Union at the time of his death.  Their home then was at 512 South Meldrum Street.

Mrs. McKinney was born at Sterling and married Mr. McKinney there on June 8, 1898.   They came here in 1924.  Their only daughter, Mrs. Clyde Gannon, died in 1934.   Mrs. McKinney was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are a niece, Mrs. Ada Fletcher of Denver, and three grandsons, Wayne of Grenada Hills, Calif., Ronald of San Francisco, and Herbert Gannon, stationed with the Navy at San Diego, Calif.  There are three great grandsons.

Funeral arrangements are being made by the Blythe-Goodrich mortuary.
