Miesner, Theodore O.
FROHNA, Mo. -- Theodore O. Miesner, 86, of Frohna died Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 23, 1924, at Frohna, son of Ernst and Anna Lohmann Miesner. He and Mildred Burroughs were married Oct. 19, 1952.
Survivors include his wife of Frohna; three daughters and three sons, Barbara (Randy) Kassel of Perryville, Mo., Rodney Miesner of Frohna, Faye (Jim) Schmidt of Altenburg, Mo., Randy (Connie) Miesner and Dennis (Karen) Miesner of Frohna, Becky (Wesley) Hoffman of New Wells; a brother, Edmund Miesner of Frohna; a sister, Adelma Mueller of Frohna; eight grandchildren, Scott and Stuart Kassel, Amanda and Adam Miesner, Katie (Jon) Lorenz, Emily Miesner, Justin and Meredith Hoffman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Alfred and Raymond; two sisters, Erna Miesner and Frieda Fritsche.
Mr. Miesner was a dairy farmer. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church at Farrar, Mo., and American Legion Post 133.
He is an Army veteran of World War II.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 6:30 to 8 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, with the Rev. Roger Abernathy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with military graveside service provided by American Legion and Delta Team.
Memorials are preferred for Salem Lutheran Church.
