Miget, Hubert Aloysius

Hubert Aloysius Miget, 87, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 13, 1915 in Perry County to Emil and Lona Tucker Miget. He married Lorine Turrin on April 26, 1952. She preceded him in death July 1, 2002.

Survivors include a daughter Barbara Schwettman of Perryville; four sons, Michael and Gary Miget of St. Charles, Mo., Rick and Bruce Miget of St. Peters, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Sacred Heart and Daily Word Mission.

Visitation will be Monday from 6:30 a.m. to 12:40 p.m., at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville, Mo., with VFW service at 11:30 a.m. Mass will be at 1 p.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Parish in Perryville. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will preside at the service. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Perryville. Memorials may be sent to St. Vincent DePaul Parish.

A funeral was held today, Monday, August 11th, 2003, for 87-year-old Hubert Aloysius Miget who died Saturday, August 9th at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born November 13, 1915 in Perry County, the son of Emil and Lona (Tucker) Miget, who both preceded him in death.

He married Lorine Turlin on April 26th, 1952. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include: one daughter and son in law, Barbara and Jerry Schwettman of Perryville; four sons and daughters in law, Michael and Pat Miget of St. Charles, Rick and Debbie Miget of St. Peters, Bruce and Carla Miget of St. Peters and Gary and Barbara Miget of St. Charles; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

Three brothers and a sister also preceded him in death.

He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Sacred Heart and Daily Word Mission.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

A funeral mass for Hubert Aloysius Miget was held at 1 p.m. today at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Kevin Fausz, C.M., officiated. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Parish.

Funeral arrangements were by the Miller Family Funeral Home.
