Miles, Zelma Marie (nee Moore)

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Zelma Marie Miles, 77, of Bridgeton, Mo., died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born April 26, 1924, in Perry County, daughter of Victor and Bertha Moore. She married Orin H. Miles. He died Aug. 3, 1968.

Miles worked on the assembly line at Alco Valve. She was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, John Miles of Bridgeton; two sisters, Alma Valleroy of St. Louis and Mae Buchheit of Perryville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and five sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 11 a.m.-1:10 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Arthur Trapp will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

A funeral will be held Thursday, January 10th, 2002 for77-year-old Zelma Marie Miles of Bridgeton, who died Saturday, January 5th at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born April 26th, 1924 in Perry County, the daughter of Victor and Bertha Moore. They both preceded her in death.

She married Orin H. Miles on October 15th, 1949 in Perryville. He also preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, John Edward Miles of Bridgeton; two sisters, Alma Valleroy of St. Louis and Mae C. Buchheit of Perryville.

14 nieces and 14 nephews also survive.

She also was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.

She retired from Alco Control and was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church.

Visitation will be Thursday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Young and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Perryville.

A funeral mass for 77-year-old Zelma Marie Miles will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery with the Reverend Arthur Trapp CM officiating.

Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
