Minton, Robert C. "Bob"
Robert “Bob” C. Minton, 81, a resident of Katy, TX, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died May 31, 2013 at Methodist West Hospital in Katy.
He was born February 7, 1932 in Cape Girardeau to Robert D. and Willia Slinkard Minton.
Bob was a 1950 graduate of Cape Central and a 1958 graduate of the Missouri School of Mines. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his mother, Willia Minton of Katy, TX; wife, Verda Farrar Minton; daughter, Ginger (David) Ellis of Katy, TX, Robert D. Minton of Kiln, MS, Shari Minton of West Hollywood, CA; 3 grandchildren, Katie and Stephanie Ellis, Whitney Frasier.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, James Minton.
Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park with full military rites.
