Moll, Catherine "Tootie" (nee Unnerstall)
Catherine "Tootie" Moll, 99, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Friday, Nov. 12, 1915, in Cape Girardeau to Henry and Catherine Steimle Unnerstall. Tootie is the last member of the Henry and Catherine Unnerstall family.
Tootie was a graduate of St. Mary's high school, a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and VFW Post 3838 Ladies Auxiliary. She worked at Woolworth's until she married and then was a devoted wife and mother.
Survivors include two daughters, Catherine Sturgeon of Virginia and Deanna (Don) Hobbs of Cape Girardeau; son, Ronnie Moll of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clark Moll, who passed away Sept. 1, 1986; four brothers, Frank, Vince, Arnold and Joe Unnerstall; and three sisters, Etta Alsheimer, Bernice Reisenbichler and Louise Bollinger.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to the St. Mary's Angel Tree or St. Mary's Food Pantry.
