Moore, Dorothy Burnette (nee Gibbar)
A funeral will be held Thursday, January 12, 2012 for 90-year-old Dorothy B. Moore of Perryville who died January 9, 2012 at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Perryville.
She was born September 18, 1921 in Menfro, daughter of Clem and Pauline (Schroeder) Gibbar Sr.
She married Robert V. Moore on September 23, 1939. He preceded her in death on July 26, 1987.
She is survived by five sons: Robert J. and Carol Moore of Perryville, David and Mary Moore of Washington, James and Donna Moore of St. Charles, Randy Moore of Perryville and Steve Moore of Perryville; two daughters: Patricia Daily of Wentzville and Regina and John LaRose of Perryville; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by brothers: Everett, Clem Jr., Monroe, Lonnie and Dutch; six sisters: Alvira "Toots", Corena, Hallie, Vivian, Virgie, and Zelma; and a son-in-law: Ray.
She had been a nurse's aide at the American Care Center and worked in home health care.
She was a home maker, mother and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville and former member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2012 and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. Rosary Thursday at 8:15 a.m.
A funeral for 90-year-old Dorothy B. Moore of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno. The Rev. Bill Rhinehart will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorials are preferred to Community Counseling Foundation in Perryville.
