Moore, Letha Marie Elizabeth (nee Kester)
Letha Marie Elizabeth Moore, age 86, of Jackson and formerly of Oak Ridge, passed away Sunday July 22, 2012 at her daughter’s home in Jackson.
She was born November 23, 1925, in Friedheim, daughter of Joseph J. and Emma Kester Kester. She and Milford T. Moore were married April 28, 1951 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim. He passed away October 27, 1992.
Letha was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim where she had been a life long member. She taught school at the Perryville Public School, the former Shawneetown School, Immanuel Lutheran School at Perryville and St. Paul Lutheran School in Jackson.
Loving survivors include three daughters Karen (Chris) Blattner of Jackson, Kathy (Kenneth) Lintner of Perryville, and Karla (Dennis) Dolan of Oak Ridge; six grandchildren and two great granddaughters.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert (Bertha) Kester, Alfred (Marge) Kester and Gilbert (Bettye) Kester.
Friends may call Tuesday, July 24th, from 4-7 pm at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson and from 9 am until time of service on Wednesday, July 25th, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 25th at 10 am at the church, with the Rev. Roger Steinbrueck officiating.
Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or to Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at Friedheim.
