Moore, Thomas L.

Thomas L. Moore, 84, of Kansas City, Mo., died April 25, 2014, at Elsberry Health Care Center in Elsberry, Mo.

He was born in Perryville, Mo., on Jan. 22, 1930, son of Leonard E. and Edith M. Nienhaus Moore.

Mr. Moore had been a freight auditor for a trucking company. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Gladstone, Mo., and American Legion Post 133 in Perryville. He loved square dancing and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

Survivors include a brother, Gene (Joan-Ann) Moore of Westfield, Ind.; two sisters, Shirley Schleper of Alton, Ill., and Mary (Robert) Parres of Lake St. Louis; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Eldon, James and John Moore.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of Mass on Monday at Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer. Mass will be at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Military graveside honors will be provided by American Legion Post 133 in Perryville and Delta Team.

Memorials are preferred to Masses or the American Cancer Society.

Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville provided the arrangements.
