Moyers, Maimie Louise (nee Presnell)
PATTON, Mo. -- Maimie Louise Moyers, 88, of Patton passed away Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Maimie was born Nov. 27, 1920, in Patton, daughter of Edward and Callie Yount Presnell. She and Audie R. Moyers were married July 13, 1940. He died July 27, 2005.
Maimie was a clerk at Whitener's Store in Patton. She was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Geraldine Green of St. Louis; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by five brothers, Pinkney, Darrell "Dutch," Robert, Paul and Don Presnell; and two sisters, Wilma Yamnitz and Martha Grindstaff.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kirby Grindstaff and the Rev. Jerry Sander officiating. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery.
The family requests that donations be made to Patton Cemetery Association.
