Mueller, Erwin T.

FARRAR, Mo. -- Erwin T. Mueller, 80, of Farrar died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Feb. 1, 1923, in Farrar to Ernst H. and Bertha Katherine Luehrs Mueller. He married Wilma C. Lohmann on Oct. 19, 1947.

He was a retired livestock and agricultural farmer, a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, the Salem Senior Servants, the Missouri Farm Bureau and American Legion Post 133. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Verseman of Frohna, Mo., and Karla Versemann of Perryville, Mo.; two sons, Don Mueller of Perryville and Richard Mueller of Columbia; a brother, Armin Mueller of Perryville; eight sisters, Oneida Mahnken of Steelville, Ill., Thekla Mueller, Mildred Bachmann, Esther Bachmann and Florence Steffens, all of Perryville, Agnes Martin of Salem, Mo., Elinor Roth of Farrar and Eunice Roth of Frohna; and 11 grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 8:15 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville, where there will be an American Legion wake at 7 p.m. Sunday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Salem Lutheran Church with the Rev. Michael Meraz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

A funeral was held this morning (Monday, September 8th) for 80-year-old Erwin T. Mueller of Farrar, who died Friday, September 5th at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born February 1st, 1923 in Farrar, the son of Ernst J. and Bertha Katherine (Luehrs) Mueller, who both preceded him in death.

He married Wilma C. Lohmann on October 19th, 1947. She survives in Farrar.

Survivors include: two daughters and sons in law, Linda and Alan Verseman in Frohna and Karla and Roger Versemann of Perryville; two sons and daughters in law, Don and Diann Mueller of Perryville and Richard and Darlene Mueller of Columbia; one brother and sister in law, Armin and Gladys Mueller; eight sisters and seven brothers in law, Oneida and Ernst Mahnken of Steeleville, Illinois; Thekla Mueller of Perryville; Esther and Orville Bachmann of Perryville; Agnes and Cleo Martin of Salem; Mildred and Vernon Bachmann of Perryville; Elinor and Raymond Roth of Farrar; Eunice and Nelson Roth of Frohna; and Florence and Donald Steffens of Perryville; 11 grandchildren, Brad, Jonathan, Joel and Erika Mueller; Danielle Huber; Aaron, Ryan and Seth Verseman; and Rachel, Brent and Kara Versemann.

He was retired agriculture and livestock farmer.

She was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, Salem Senior Servants, Farm Bureau and American Legion Post No. 133. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

A funeral for 80-year-old Erwin T. Mueller of Farrar was held this morning (Monday, September 8th) at the Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar. Burial was in the church cemetery. The Rev. Michael Meraz officiated.

Memorials may be made to the Salem Lutheran Building Fund or the Lutheran Hour.

The Young and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
