Nation, Dolores E. (nee Trost)
CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Dolores E. Trost Nation, 68, of Chaffee passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 16, 1946, in Chaffee to the late Buford and Adella Kiefer Trost. She and Richard Nation were married May 1, 1965, in Chaffee.
Dolores was a teacher at Chaffee Head Start, and retired as a teacher's assistant at Chaffee Grade School. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Daughters of St. Ambrose, and Chaffee VFW Post 3127 Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Eric Nation of Cape Girardeau, Michael Nation of Chaffee and John Nation of Texas; two sisters, Margaret Nation of Chaffee and Virginia Vessels of Paducah, Kentucky; three granddaughters, Rachel, daughter of Eric; Martikai and Tasha, daughters of Michael; a grandson, Johnie, son of John; three great-grandchildren, Amberlynn, Madalynn and Alexandra; several nieces and nephews; and countless foster children who came through her home and were loved as if they were her own.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Angela Nation; and two brothers, Elmer and Art Trost.
Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Parish prayers will be at 4.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ambrose Church, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Catholic Church Cemetery.
