Nesslein, Cletus Stephen

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Cletus S. Nesslein, 94, of Perryville died Sunday, April 15, 2007, at Perry Oaks Manor.

He was born April 19, 1912, at Perryville, son of Henry T. and Rose McAtee Nesslein. He and Cleta Frances Huber were married Nov. 19, 1953.

Nesslein owned and operated Friendly Furniture for 68 years. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, a Third Degree Knight of Columbus, a member of Holy Name Society and a past member of the Perry County Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kenneth Nesslein of Perryville, Gary Lee Nesslein of Prairie Village, Kan.; two daughters, Darla Kennon of Jackson, Brenda Harold of Walla Walla, Wash.; two sisters, Gladys Heidenprein of St. Louis, Helen Feltz of Perryville; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Friday. Parish prayers with the Knights of Columbus will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday. A rosary will be said at 9 a.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate, with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.

A funeral will be held Friday, April 20th, 2007 for 94-year-old Cletus S. Nesslein of Perryville, who died Monday, April 15th at Perry Oaks Manor.

He was born April 19th, 1912 in Perryville, the son of Henry T. Nesslein and Rose McAtee Nesslein, who both preceded him in death.

He married Cleta Frances Huber on November 19th, 1953. She survives in Perryville.

He is also survived by two sons: Kenneth Nesslein of Perryville and Dr. Gary Lee Nesslein of Prairie Village, Kansas; two daughters, Darla Kennon of Jackson and Brenda Harold of Walla Walla, Washington; two sisters, Gladys Heideprein of St. Louis and Helen Feltz of Perryville; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Lloyd Nesslein and Glennon Nesslein and a sister, Ina Marie Nesslein.

He was the owner and operator of Friendly Furniture for 68 years.

He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, a third degree Knight of Columbus, member of Holy Name Society and past member of the Perryville Area Chamber of Commerce.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, April 19th and 6:30-9:50 a.m. Friday, April 20th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers with the Knights of Columbus at 7 p.m. Thursday and Rosary at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

A funeral mass for 94-year-old Cletus S. Nesslein of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 20th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin P. Fausz will officiate.

Memorials may be made to Masses or to the St. Vincent Endowment Fund.
