SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Floyd Henry Niswonger, 80, of Sedgewickville died Friday, April 13, 2007, at his home.

He was born Sept. 4, 1926 in Sedgewickville, son of Henry Dennis and Doshia May Statler Niswonger. He and Mary Ellen Herbert were married Aug. 23, 1947, at Patton, Mo.

Niswonger was an Army veteran of World War II, a self-employed farmer and a painting contractor. He was a member of the Sedgewickville United Methodist Church and a life member of the VFW Post 10495 at Jackson.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Barbara J. Holten of Seabrook, Texas, Velma McDonald of St. Louis, Rosemary Muse of Sedgewickville; a sister, Lindy Killoren of St. Louis; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Anthony Stewart officiating.

Burial with full military honors by the Missouri Military Honors Team will be in Sedgewickville Lutheran Cemetery.
