Niswonger, Mary Jewell (nee Allen)
Mary Jewell Niswonger, 79, of Jackson died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, at Monticello House.
She was born Nov. 29, 1931, in Jackson, to William Lynn and Alta Idler Hall Allen. Mary was married to Bill J. Niswonger on March 3, 1951. He died Dec. 9, 1985.
Mary owned and operated Bill and Mary's Ceramics in Jackson.
She is survived by a son, Curtis Niswonger of Corpus Christi, Texas; a sister-in-law, Lawanna Moore of Sikeston, Mo.; four grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Russell Heights Cemetery, with the Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating.
Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
