Nussbaum, Ralph A.
Ralph A. Nussbaum, 70, of Gordonville passed away Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 28, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, to the late Emil and Esther Geiser Nussbaum. He and Sandra Kay Pfaff were married July 8, 1988. She passed away July 3, 2003.
Ralph worked many years as a plant operator at Pure Ice Co. in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of Eagles Aerie in Cape Girardeau, TPA and the Men's Bowling League at Jackson Lanes. He particularly enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was always known to have a "project" going on.
Loving survivors include a daughter, Michele (Steve) Schabbing of Gordonville; two sons, Mark Nussbaum of Fruitland, Chris (Cheryl) Nussbaum of Perryville, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Sharon (Chad) Abernathy of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Shirley Medlock of Gordonville; eight grandchildren; and many caring, supportive friends.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Dan Johnson will officiate.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
