Monica Oberndorfer, 97, of Cape Girardeau, MO, died Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Fountainbleau Lodge.
She was born July 6, 1914 in Altenburg, MO to Frank and Hulda Petzoldt Koeberl .
She and Walter J. Oberndorfer were married February 24, 1947 at Altenburg, Missouri.He died December 23, 1990
Mrs. Oberndorfer worked for Florsheim Shoe Factory in Cape Girardeau, MO. for 36 yrs.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Cape Girardeau, MO.
Survivors include:
Sisters- Vera Hecht, Jackson, MO
Ora Martin, St. Louis, , MO
Brother - Ruben Koeberl, Perryville, MO
Several Nieces and Nephews
She was preceded in death by parents, husband, four brothers, Herbert, Richard, Edgar and Waldemar, two sisters, Paula Weber and Nelda Fischer
Friends may call 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel .
Funeral will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel with the Rev. Nathan Burgell officiating.
Burial will Monday, September 19, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
