Oehl, Joshua W.
A funeral will be held Wednesday, June 21st, 2006 for 12-year-old Joshua W. Oehl of Friedheim who died Sunday, June 18th at his home after a four-year battle with osteosarcoma.
He was born December 12th, 1993 in Cape Girardeau, the son of Ronald and Candi (Henderson) Oehl of Friedheim.
He is also survived by a brother, Dakota Oehl and two sisters, Michaela and Katelyn Oehl all of the home; his parental grandparents, Richard and June Oehl of Friedheim; maternal grandparents, Neil and Gloria Henderson of Perryville; paternal great grandfather Alonzo Kurre of Friedheim; maternal great grandmother Helen Henderson of Perryville; aunts and uncles: Craig and Rhonda Henderson, Cody Henderson, Rodney and Pamela Oehl, Mike and Connie Ward and three cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal great grandmother, Elsie Kurre; maternal great grandfather, John Henderson and an aunt, Jean Ward.
He was a seventh grade student at Oak Ridge R-6 Middle School.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Friedheim; Arnsberg 4-H and he loved hunting, fishing and drawing.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 20th and 6:30-8 a.m. Wednesday, June 21st at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville and from 9-9:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 21st at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim.
A funeral for 12-year-old Joshua W. Oehl of Friedheim will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 21st at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Roger Steinbrueck will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the family or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
