Parker, Delbert N.
JACKSON, Mo. -- Delbert N. Parker, 71, of Jackson died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 26, 1930, at Seventy-Six, Mo., son of Fred and Hazel McLain Parker. He and Joanne Kimbel were married June 23, 1951.
Parker worked for various barge companies, including Mechling Barge Lines, retiring in 1989.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bradley and Steven Parker of Jackson; two daughters, Debbie Eifert of Flippin, Ark., Rebecca Workman of Jackson; two sisters, Shirley Statler of Jackson, Jackie Huckstep of LaGrange, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons and a daughter.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Harold Althen will officiate. Burial will be in McLain's Chapel Cemetery at Indian Creek, Mo.
