Pharris, Neva N. (nee York)
SIKESTON, Mo. -- Neva N. Pharris, 80, of Sikeston died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Nov. 15, 1931, at Big Opening in New Madrid County, Mo., to Dola and Rivers Kerr York. She and Jimmie C. Pharris were married Nov. 27, 1951, in Piggott, Ark.
Pharris was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Judy Pharris of Sikeston; a daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Kent Miller of Sikeston; a sister and husband, Margie and Bill Jones of Sikeston; three grandchildren, Daniel Pharris, Byron Miller and Jordan Miller of Sikeston; and a cousin and wife, Charles and Sharon Gass of Jackson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David York; and a grandson, Jason Pobst.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the chapel, with the Rev. Mary McCord, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Sikeston City Cemetery.
