A funeral will be held Friday, September 27th, 2002 for 79-year-old Dale D. Phillips of Perryville, who died Monday, September 23rd, 2002 at Parkland Health Center in Bonne Terre.

He was born July 6th, 1923 in Perry County, the son of Albert Clyde and Anna Martha (Ratcliff) Phillips who both preceded him in death.

He married Juanita L. Combs on December 26th, 1942. She survives in Perryville.

He is also survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law: Dale L. and Selma Phillips of O'Fallon; Dennis and Linda Phillips of Delta; and Bradley Phillips of Cape Girardeau.

Two daughters and sons-in-law also survive: Deborah and Kevin Moll of Perryville and Dayla and Kelly Krauss of Perryville.

Ten grandchildren and one great-grandson also survive.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn and Melvin Phillips and two grandchildren, Nicole Phillips and Jason Moll.

He was a retired Lineman for Southwestern Bell and a member of the United Methodist Church in Perryville, American Legion Post 133. He was also a U.S. Army Aircorps Veteran.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Thursday, September 26th and from 6:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, September 27th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home. There will be an American Legion Wake Thursday at 7 p.m.

A funeral service for 79-year-old Dale D. Phillips will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Young and Sons Funeral Home. Burial in the Home Cemetery with Reverend Jerry Willer officiating.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church or to a charity of choice.
