PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Hester M. Phillips, 75, of Perryville died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 30, 1931, at Silver Lake, Mo., daughter of Romanus and Theresa Deming Duvall. She and Melvin J. Phillips were married Sept. 7, 1949. He died Jan. 15, 1984...

A funeral will be held Monday, November 6th, 2006 for 75-year-old Hester M. Phillips who died Thursday, November 2nd at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born August 30th, 1931 in Silver Lake, the daughter of Romanus and Theresa (Deming) Duvall who both preceded her in death.
She married Melvin J. Phillips on September 7th, 1949. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters in law: Gary and Kim Phillips of Bonne Terre, Randy Phillips of Savanna, Oklahoma and Wayne and Carol Phillips of Ste. Genevieve; one sister: Edith Weekly of Topeka, Kansas; nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Larry J. Phillips.
She worked at Gilster Mary Lee Corporation.
She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and VFW Auxiliary.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Sunday and 6:30-10 a.m. Monday at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral for 75-year-old Hester M. Phillips of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 6th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Perryville. The Rev. Matthew Marks will officiate.
A VFW Auxiliary Wake will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
