Pingel, Hubert A.
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Hubert A. Pingel, 89, died Friday, May 18, 2007, at Perry Oaks Manor.
He was born Sept. 10, 1917, in Biehle, Mo., son of August A. and M. Agnes Unterreiner Pingel. He and Stella Arlina Feltz were married Dec. 18, 1944, in Sereno, Mo., She died Jan. 28, 2000.
Before his retirement in 1997, he was a clerk for the Perry County Sanitation Landfill, worked in the wheat-threshing business, worked for Perryville Cheese Plant and was a driver for various companies.
He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno, the Our Lady of Victory Holy Name Society, the National Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 618 and was a Third Degree Knight with Knights of Columbus Council 1263.
Survivors include two sons, Terry Pingel and Van Pingel, both of Perryville; a daughter, Victoria Pingel of Perryville; a brother, Ralph Pingel of Bonne Terre, Mo.; two sisters, Rita Fenwick or Perryville, Ruth Pingel of Springfield, Mo.; five grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 12 great-stepgrandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the rosary at 9 a.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Victory Parish, with the Rev. Frank Agnew officiating. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery.
