Piper, Lavetra Jane (nee Holmes)
Lavetra Jane Piper, 70, of Scott City died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born in 1943 in Sikeston, Mo., to James Young and Esther Marie Hilliker Holmes. She married Miles H. Piper Jr.
Survivors include her husband; and a sister, Leslie Lacey of Scott City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters.
There will be no service.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Scott City was in charge of arrangements.
