Points, Dorothy Krueger (nee Dolle)

Dorothy Dolle Krueger Points, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 10, 1923, in Cape Girardeau, to Willie Luther Dolle and Flora May Johnson Dolle.

Dorothy and Joseph Krueger were married Nov. 30, 1946, in Cape Girardeau. He passed away May 17, 1983. Dorothy then married George Points on Oct. 3, 1987, in Charleston, South Carolina. He passed away Nov. 27, 2001.

She was heavily involved in the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of Disabled Veterans and the VFW Post 3838 Ladies Auxiliary. She also was involved in the Ladies Junior Aid at Trinity Lutheran Church and its Prayer Shawl Ministry. She was a member of United Commercial Travelers.

Survivors include three daughters, Katherine (Kent) Tolson of Cobden, Illinois, Elizabeth (Darrell) Billham of Charleston, South Carolina, and Carol (Del) Adams of Walland, Tennessee; two sons, Joseph (Julie) Krueger of Egypt Mills and Ted (Shirley) Krueger of Oak Ridge; a brother, Bob (Virginia) Dolle of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Ruth Ann (Robert) Rauscher of Scottsdale, Arizona; 10 grandchildren, Samuel Poisal V, Arthur Poisal, Joshua and Seth Tolson, Britany Tolson Newman, Jason Krueger, Renee and Darrell Billham and Scott and Steve Mantz; 14 great-grandchildren, Jason Krueger II, Andrew Krueger, Owen and Nancy Poisal, Samuel E. Poisal VI, Maren and Reid Tolson, Malory, Peyton, Dawson, Clayton and Tyler Mantz and Amber and Brian Billham; and great-great-granddaughter Serinity Rose Billham.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Dolle; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Dolle.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday with a VFW Ladies Auxiliary service at 6 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with pastor Nathan Burgell officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with procession led by the American Legion Riders Post 369.

Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Grade School or to the Trinity Lutheran Prayer Shawl Ministry in Cape Girardeau.
