Wilbert “Wib” F. Preston, 82, of Perryville died October 15, 2014 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
He was born April 3, 1932 in Perry County, MO, son of Andrew Corbett and Cora Viola (Ratcliff) Preston. He and Rose Lee Boxdorfer were married on January 28, 1950. She survives in Perryville, MO.
Wib worked in construction, rehabbing properties. He was a member of Masonic Order, Scottish Rite and a Shriner.
Other survivors include three sons, Farrell (Rena) Preston of Ballwin, MO, Guy (Debbie) Preston of Perryville, Ted (Joan) Preston of Warrenton, MO; one sister, Grace Statler of St. Peters; 7 grandchildren, Jordan (Rose) Preston, Lesley Preston, Jennifer (Nic) Janet, Cora (Michael) Gremaud, Brittany Preston, Ted Preston, Stacey Preston; and 5 great-grandsons, Samuel and Alex Janet, Preston Gremaud, Henry and Leo Preston.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one stillborn son; four brothers, Art, Carl, Champ, and Albert Preston; and one sister Zelma Erwin.
Private graveside services at Home Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to Scottish Rite.
