Propst, Leona T. (nee Laurentius)
Leona T. Propst, 78, of Cape Girardeau formerly of Perryville, Missouri, died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born June 1, 1935, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of Stephen and Theresa Lee Laurentius. She and Hansel E. Propst were married July 30, 1960. He survives in San Antonio.
Leona formerly worked at International Shoe Co. She was a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, Missouri, and formerly a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church in San Antonio.
Other survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Dennis Oloteo of San Antonio; a sister, Betty (Lynn) Jones of Jackson; a brother, Elmer (Barbara) Laurentius of Biehle; two grandchildren, Nickolas and Diana Oloteo; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Viola Lyons and Gladys Meyer; four brothers, James, Tommy, LeRoy and her twin, Leo Laurentius.
Visitation will be from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Maurus Church, with the Rev. Jim French officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to Masses.
