A funeral will be held Thursday, January 15, 2015 for 96-year-old Virginia R. Prost of Ste. Genevieve who died January 13, 2015 at Ste. Genevieve Care Center.
She was born August 30, 1918 in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Martin J. and Alma (Clippard) Van Doren, who both preceded her in death.
She married Roy Urban Prost May 20, 1939. He preceded her in death December 17, 1985.
She is survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Joseph and Charles V. Van Doren; two sisters: Ruth Hart and Majorie Mills.
She worked at Stix Baer & Fuller and retired as a personnel manager at the Stix Westroads store in the Galleria.
She was a former member of Immaculata Catholic Church in Clayton.
She moved to Ste. Genevieve in 2006.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
A funeral mass for 96-year-old Virginia R. Prost of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 12 noon Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Rich Wehmeyer C.M. will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred for St. Vincent de Paul Schools.
