Clarence W. Quade, 92, of Jacksonville, FL, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Community Hospice of Northern Florida in Jacksonville, FL.
He was born August 26, 1918 in Jackson, MO to Jesse and Ida Gerecke Quade.
He and Verna Stoops were married July 27, 1940 at Gordonville, Missouri. She preceded him in death December 19, 1994.
Clarence served his country in the US Navy during WWII from 1944 to 1946. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Gordonville Mo. He was a prominent farmer at Gordonville and was given an award from the Missouri Conservation Commission on conservation in farming. Clarence had owned and worked at Bluff Electric Works from 1952-1965. He moved to Jacksonville in September of 2010 to live with his daughter.

Daughter - Darlene Pruett, Jacksonville, FL
Brother - Clyde Quade, Gordonville, MO
Sister - Ruby Cook, Cape Girardeau, MO
Sister - Betty Brucker, Delta, MO
Sister - Patsy Morgan, Cape Girardeau, MO
and 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Friends may call Sunday, July 24, 2011 from 4pm-7pm at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will be Monday July 25 at 10:00AM at the chapel with the Rev. Wayne Schwiesow officiating.
Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau with full military rites conducted by the Missouri Honor Guard.
