A funeral mass will be held Friday, December 6th, 2002 for 76-year-old Bernard Queathem of Perryville, who died Tuesday, December 3rd, 2002 at his home.

He was born November 29th, 1926 in St. Louis, the son of Arthur G. Queathem and Sylvia Cissell, who both preceded him in death.

He married Dolores Prost on June 5th, 1948 in Perryville. She also preceded him in death.

He is survived by three daughters: Sharon Trapp, Debra Wengert and Connie King -- all of Perryville.

Four brothers and a sister also survive: Arthur G. Queathem, Jr. of St. Charles; James Queathem of Barnhart; Richard and Eugene Queathem -- both of St. Louis and Joyce Kelley of Arcadia Valley.

In addition, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Buchheit.

He was a truck driver and a member of Our Lady of Victory Parish in Sereno; a World War II Veteran -- serving in the Navy Seabees. He was also a member of American Legion Post 133 and 3rd Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Thursday, December 5th at the Miller Family Funeral Home with an American Legion Service at 6:30 p.m. and Parish Prayers at 7 p.m. Visitation continues from 6:30-9:40 a.m. Friday, December 6th at the funeral home with the Rosary recited at 9 a.m.

A funeral mass for 76-year-old Bernard Queathem of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 6th at the Our Lady of Victory Parish in Sereno with Rev. Francis Agnew, C.M. officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Victory Parish or the American Diabetes Association.
