Ramsey, Franklin Henry

Sikeston, July 2 - Frank H. Ramsey, 78 years old, died at 9:30 o'clock this morning at his home here as a result of a stroke of paralysis which he suffered Sunday, following an illness of several years. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the old Ramsey cemetery near Roberts School on Byrd's Creek.

Mr. Ramsey is survived by his wife, the former Miss Eva May Barks of Bollinger county; two daughters, Mrs. Tom Goodwin of Jackson and Mrs. Julien Comden of Sikeston; and three sons, Morrell Ramsey of St. Louis, Otil and Elwood Ramsey of Sikeston. Two brothers and one sister also survive. They are Dr. John Ramsey of Tilsit and Dr. Jeff Ramsey of El Dorado, Ill; and Mrs. Mary Wittenburg of Glen Allen.

Mr. Ramsey is a native of Cape Girardeau county, having been born and reared several miles northwest of Jackson, between Jackson and Oak Ridge. Until the last few years, when he became an invalid, he was a farmer in the neighborhood where he was born. He had retired and moved to Sikeston on account of his ill health.
