Ramsey, Morrell
ORAN (Special) - Morrell Ramsey of Oran died at 5:30 Sunday afternoon at Chaffee General Hospital where he had been a patient since Thursday. He was 71 years old.
Mr. Ramsey was born Oct. 3, 1904, in Doniphan, and married Mrs. Donna Cook May 3, 1970. He was a retired self-employed painter and carpenter.
Surviving; his wife; son, Everett Ramsey, Morongo Valley, Alif., daughter, Mrs. Jerry Caniglia, Louisville, Ky.; stepsons, Ronnie Cook and Johnny Cook, both of Oran, and Eddie Cook, Cape Girardeau; stepdaughters, Mrs. Frances Harrison, Mrs. Dorothy Anderson, and Mrs. Shirley Kitchen, all of Oran, and Mrs. Judy Scheible, Bell City; brother, Elwood Ramsey, Sikeston; two grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, and one great-step-grandchild.
Friends may call after 6:30 tonight at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Oran where service will be at 2 Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Andy Robinson of Chaffee and the Rev. Luther Thorn, pastor of the United Pentecostal Church of Chaffee, officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery in Oran.
