Reeves, Lena (nee Moore)
Lena M. Reeves, 85, of St. Jacob, Ill., passed away, on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at the Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.
She was born to Ernest Otto and Mary Catherine, nee Garland, Moore on Aug. 19, 1928, at Hurricane, Mo. She and Allen B. Reeves were united in marriage on May 9, 1948 and he passed away on Oct. 28, 2006.
Lena owned her own farm and was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are her son, Allan B. Reeves Jr., of Saint Jacob, Ill.; daughter, P. Alline Grotefendt of Granite City, Ill.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Pauline Moxley.
Visitation: Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at the Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church, Marble Hill, Mo.
Funeral: Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at the church with the Rev. Jimmie Fulbright officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery near Marble Hill, Mo.
