Reisenbichler, Dianna Lou (nee Bock)

Dianna Lou Reisenbichler, 64, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 22, 1950, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Elmer and Erna Hemman Bock. She and Leo "Junior" Reisenbichler were married Nov. 10, 1979, in Uniontown, Mo.

Dianna graduated from Perryville High School in 1968. After high school, she received an LPN certificate from Poplar Bluff, Mo., Vocational School. In 1969 she began a 37-year career at the old Saint Francis Hospital before making the move to the current medical center. She was a dedicated intensive care nurse who was often praised for being willing to work additional hours, and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Her last several years were spent working in the emergency department before retiring in 2006.

She was devoted to taking care of her elderly parents and anyone else who asked anything of her. She loved her Savior and was brought up in the Lutheran belief as a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown. She was a member of Heartland Social Club in Uniontown and enjoyed the camaraderie and shenanigans. She was also a member of the elite 4-F Friends Club and the red hat wearing group the "Hattitudes." Dianna could be seen with her fellow friends in purple dresses at several activities throughout Southeast Missouri. Some even showed up on the front page of the Southeast Missourian.

Dianna shared an unbreakable bond with her son, with whom she was best friends. He will miss her greatly. She is in heaven reuniting with loved ones and holding her baby girl again. Knowing that, she would not want us to be sad, but to know she is at peace.

Loving survivors include Junior, her husband of 34 years; a son, Louis Reisen- bichler of Jackson; a brother, Gene (Leola) Bock of Old Appleton; a sister, Margie (Eddie) Burkart of Hance-ville, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews who loved their "Aunt Annie," and whom she also loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Emy Marie Reisenbichler.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, and will continue from 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday at Grace Lutheran Church.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Paul Winningham officiating. Private inurnment will be at a later date in Russell Heights Cemetery.

If choosing to make a memorial donation, the family suggests Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown.
