Reiss, Elvis A.
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Elvis A. Reiss, 95, of Perryville died Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 11, 1912, at Sereno, Mo., son of August F. and Albertene May Reiss. He and Mary "Marge" Womack were married Nov. 25, 1948.
Reiss retired as a cutter from International Shoe Co. He was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer, Mo., and American Legion Post 133 in Perryville.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a sister, Anne Marie Sweany of Clearwater, Fla.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 to 9:20 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The wake will be at 5 p.m. Sunday. The rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. Monday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Christ the Savior Church. The Rev. Bill Rhinehart will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery with military rites provided by American Legion Post 133.
