A funeral will be held Monday, April 9, 2012 for 71-year-old JoAnn P. Reiss of Perryville, who died April 2, 2012 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born May 16, 1940 in Belgique, the daughter of Oswald "Wally" Hotop who preceded her in death and Dorothy (Miget) Hotop Rozik who survives in Perryville.
She married Norman P. Reiss June 22, 1963. He survives in Perryville.
She is also survived by three sons: Warren (Angela) Reiss of Perryville, Mark (Terri) Reiss of Maryland Heights and Terry (Shannan) Reiss of Perryville; a brother: Wayne (Shirley) Hotop of Bonne Terre; a sister: Sharon (Gary) Hoff of Perryville and four grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son: Stephen Reiss.
She was a home maker and worked on the family farm.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Thursday Afternoon Ladies Bowling League and had been a 4-H Leader for many years.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, April 8 and 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 9 at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish Wake Sunday 7:30 pm.
A funeral for 71-year-old JoAnn P. Reiss of Perryville will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 9 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Milton Ryan CM will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or a charity of choice.
