Reiss, Marie Aline (nee Layton)

Funeral service will be held Monday, June 21, 2004 for 94-year-old Marie Aline Reiss of Perryville who died Thursday, June 17 at Perry County Nursing Home.
She was born on Feb. 14, 1910 in Brewer, the daughter of the late Kenrick and Sarah e. Brewer Layton.
She was married to Thomas J. Reiss on April 20, 1940. He preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1987.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, and two daughters and sons-in-law: Kenneth and Kathy Reiss of Perryville; Larry and LeeAnn Reiss of Chesterfield; Carolyn and Dave Kuchar of chesterfield; and Loretta and Joseph Kladiva of Arnold.
Two sisters survive, Beryl Moore of Brewer and Doris Nickelson of Hundle Mills, North Carolina.
One sister-in-law, Rosalie Layton, survives in Brewer.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
One brother and four sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Reiss had worked at International Shoe Company.
She was a member of Our Lady of victory Church in Sereno, Ladies Sodality, and the K of C Auxiliary.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 20 from 4-9:00 p.m. at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. visitation will continue on Monday, June 21 from 6:30-9:30 a.m. The rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral service for Marie Aline Reiss will be held Monday, June 21, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of victory Catholic Church in Sereno. Rev. Tony Dattilo will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to birthright or Masses.
