Renaud, Elmer M.
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Elmer M. Renaud, 82, of Perryville was received by the Lord Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 5, 1929, in St. Louis, son of Martin and Catherine Scharenborg Renaud. He and Mary Glen Rose Wengert were married May 9, 1953.
Renaud had been a maintenance supervisor at Prince Gardner, The Box Factory and Eric Scott Leather. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus Council 1263 4th Degree, American Legion Post 133 and National Guard.
Survivors include his wife; five children, Mike (Joyce) Renaud of Cape Girardeau, Brenda (Larry "Booby") Winkler and Kim (Greg) Amschler of Perryville, Daryl (Karen) Renaud of Mora, Minn., Wes Renaud of Jackson; three sisters, Marie Schepker, Dorthy (Leroy) Schepker, Catherine (William) Garrison, all of St. Louis; and a brother, Edward Renaud of Missouri.
Also 14 grandchildren, Marcus (Bianca) Renaud, Jordan Renaud, Evan Renaud, Jessica (Steven) Caddell, Cory Layton, Andrew Hayden, Eric Winkler, Jason Amschler (Becky McClanahand), Justin (Katrina) Amschler, Nicholas Amschler, Lynnsey Renaud, Jacob Renaud, Darbi Renaud, Abigail Renaud; seven great-grandchildren, Maddison, Aleah and Owen Caddell, Lexi Amschler, Chase and Angel McClanahand, and Ryan Amschler.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Sylvester and Melvin Renaud; and a sister, Rosemary Blechle.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 a.m. to time of service Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The parish wake is at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Entombment will be in Mary Queen of Heaven Mausoleum.
Young and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials are preferred to St. Vincent's Endowment Fund or the American Cancer Society.
