Riehn, LaVern A. (nee Tarrillion)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- LaVern A. Riehn, 73, of Perryville died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 23, 1937, in Millheim, Mo., daughter of Arthur and Ann Scharenborg Tarrillion. She and John J. Riehn Jr. were married Oct. 1, 1955. He preceded her in death Dec. 31, 1994.
Survivors include two sons, Robert "Bob" (Bonnie) Riehn, Michael (LaDonna) Riehn; a daughter, JoAnn Payne, all of Perryville; four brothers, Howard, Tom, George and Kenny Tarrillion; three sisters, Virginia Clements, Mildred Winkler and Nancy Cissell, all of Perryville; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son-in-law, Oliver Payne; a great-grandson, Oliver Wayne Pease; and a brother, Gerald Tarrillion.
Mrs. Riehn was a clerk at Dollar General Store. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, member and past officer of River Hill Eagles Auxiliary Aerie 4034.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The wake will be at 8 tonight, and the rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Highland, Mo., with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to family use.
