Roberts, Cecil Alfred
MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Cecil Alfred Roberts, 83, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at his home.
He was born Aug. 16, 1918, near Marble Hill, son of the Rev. William C. and Susan Elizabeth Richards Roberts.
Roberts retired from Superior Electric in 1980. He was a member of Point Pleasant General Baptist Church and IOOF Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Deon Roberts of Marble Hill; three daughters, Janice Abernathy of Florissant, Mo., Wanda Vannoy of Marble Hill, Darlene Mattingly of St. Mary's, Mo.; three sisters, Hazel Yount of St. Louis, Pauline Barks of Marble Hill, Helen Varvil of Lemay, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Lloyd Ray Green and Danny Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
