Robinson, Wilma Ida Cordelia (nee Fulton)

ORAN, Mo. -- Wilma Ida Cordelia Robinson, 90, of Oran died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010.

She was born in Bollinger County, Mo., Jan. 14, 1920, second child of Henry Allen and Nora Agnes Limbaugh Fulton, and granddaughter of Thomas A. and Cordelia Jones Fulton, and William D. and Ida A. Johnson Limbaugh. She and Amos Quinton Robinson of Gastonia, N.C., were married March 12, 1946, at Oran. They had corresponded during World War II.

Robinson graduated from Marble Hill High School, attended Southeast Missouri State University and taught a year at the one-room Shrum School in Bollinger Co. Wilma and Quint lived and worked in North Carolina, St. Louis, Kansas City, and finally with Northrup Corp. in Los Angeles before retiring to Oran in 1985.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years; a brother, William Dwight Fulton; a sister, Oma M. Barber; a niece, Linda Loyd Piltz; and a nephew, Paul Dwight Lawless.

She is survived by three sisters, Wanita A. (Robert) Shue and Henrietta N. Hudman of Las Vegas, Virginia D. (Edward) Lawless of Kansas City; two brothers-in-law, Dr. Roy M. Barber II of Memphis, Tenn., and Alvin Robinson of Gastonia.

She is also survived by nephews and nieces, Mark F. (Sonia) Loyd, Eric L. (Wendy) Piltz, Dr. Brian L. Piltz, Roy (Elise) Barber III, Donna Lawless (Charles) Newell, and Kevin, Vincent, Sean and Patrick (Valerie) Lawless.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ed Carter officiating. Interment will be in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee, Mo.
