PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Ruby R. Rodewald, 78, of Perryville died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. The funeral will follow at the church, with the Rev. Thomas Handrick officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery...

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2011 for 78-year-old Ruby R. Rodewald of Perryville who died Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville.

She was born October 3, 1933 in Belgique, the daughter of Otto Joseph and Ella (Phillips) Amberger who both preceded her in death.

She married Darwin F. Rodewald on April 15, 1951. He preceded her in death on January 20, 2004.

She had been a cook for Ingram Barge Line.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

She is survived by two sons: Darwin Allen Rodewald of St. Mary and Donald (Cheri) Rodewald of St. Mary; three daughters: Karen Sue Rodewald of Perryville, Nancee (Gary) Favier of Perryville and Janice (William) Cole of St. Mary; two sisters: Mary Ann (Amberger) Rankin of Belgique and Leona (Amberger) Lawson of Yuba City, California; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Gilbert, Homer and Herbert Amberger; three sisters: Bernice (Amberger) Montgomery, Ruth Amberger, and Cleta (Amberger) Trimmer; a son: Marvin Rodewald and a granddaughter: Michelle Welty.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.

A funeral for 78-year-old Ruby R. Rodewald of Perryville will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 13 from at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Thomas Handrick will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to disabled veterans.
